At the last minute we had to switch an outdoor bonfire to an indoor party due to inclement weather! We were so glad we had thought ahead to buy this! Guests were still able to make s’mores – always the highlight of a bonfire! I would recommend keeping the serving trays an inch or more away from the heating element as some of our marshmallows stuck to the side as they sat, but it was easily washed off! This is a great buy! I can’t wait to use the fondue feature! It’s rare to find a device with a dual purpose! I would definitely recommend this product and would buy it again!

I was so excited to buy this Smores maker, and when it arrived, it looked great! It was pretty sturdy and well packaged. So, Thanksgiving, we opened it up to make a dipping chocolate like on the box.

First try – put the chocolate in the bowl and turned it on… Chocolate pretty quickly started smoking (tendrils of smoke were coming up from the bowl.

So, we took it out and read the instructions.

Second try – chocolate and oil in the bowl, turned it on WAY lower. This time, it didn't seem to do anything. So we turned it up a bit higher, and once again the chocolate started smoking. We tried mixing it quickly, adding more oil, lowering, etc. But in the end, the chocolate just wound up burned and ruined.

We cleaned it out and this time, I premelted chocolate and added oil to the chocolate (we have a chocolate found, so I made it the consistency of chocolate fountain chocolate.

THIRD TRY! We put the melted chocolate in the bowl and kept it on really low. Chocolate was melty, which seemed good. Did touch it for a minute or two… once again, the chocolate started smoking.

So, we returned it. Looking at it when we put it in the box, I think the element was WAY too close to the bowl, so there was really no way to fix it. Maybe we got a defective one.

This is a great family activity. It gets really hot very fast and has no heat smell. Its easy to use and has a fun option for fondue. Has nice cute compartments that hold different ingredients. Definitely recommend to level up you family time! We use it almost everyday for a quick treat.

I honestly was skeptical but I adore this little machine! The way it cooks a marshmallow is like magic! It takes longer than an open fire BUT it gets crispy on the outside and the entire middle is gooey mush that isnt molten lava. I cant explain how but its perfect. It's great for cooler summer evenings or sage enough for indoor rainy days. It's easy to clean and control the heat. The cord is about like 2 or 3 feet but that's why extension cords exist or you just move closer to an outlet. But I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

It absolutely works as intended, but only has room for 2 marshmallows at a time. (The plastic containers that are provided are quite unnecessary, in my opinion.)

It does what it’s supposed to for the most part, best if only a max of 2 trying to roast a marshmallow just not big enough to do 4 at a time, also give it about 5 minutes to heat up works much better. that being said my 3 1/2 year old Grandson loves it!! Use caution with the little ones it does get hot!

This is an awesome treat, must buy!!! I am the type to look at all the reviews and weigh the options, but I'm telling you go ahead and buy this, don't pay attention to any of the negative views who did not properly use it. They probably turned it on and thought that they could roast some marshmallow instantly. 10 minutes goes by pretty quick if you wait but I will say it does start to roast even when you first turn it on!! Don't listen to the few reviews that say it doesn't heat well, it heats great. When u first open it, there is blue plastic liner on the silver grill top, be sure to remove it on both sides. I suggest letting it heat for like 10 mins, you might smell a little something burning like when u turn a heater on, but it goes away. It's just because it's brand new. and then the middle circle will roast your marshmallows to golden crisp perfection or if u like it darker. Honestly after 15 mins it made them just as good if not better than a flame. This has been so easy and delicious. The size is perfect, enough room for us all to roast but better if 1 at a time. This is worth every penny!! Perfect treat for the family or a sleepover.

but as an inexperienced fondue-r there was a bit of learning curve. thats not why it lost the star in my review. it just is kinda missing something you get from a real fire. it takes longer to cook your marshmallow and its just not the same.

MY kids haven't stopped using this thing …. We have only had it for a week and they are using it all the time !! Just for reference they are 15 year olds who still love the taste of a smore on a snowing day here in the north !!

This little toaster is fun to for indoor roasting. Takes a while to toast marshmallows but the high setting works nicely to get that perfect brown with pokey gooey sweetness. The trays are handy.

Family fun time. Takes a few minutes to heat up. Comes with metal pokey sticks for marshmallows and such. Takes a minute of so to get the marshmallows roasted but tastes good.

Haven't used for fondue yet so not sure about consistent heating for that.
