Shaved Frozen Fruit!!The media could not be loaded. The best Amazon buy ever! We first tried this for shaved ice until we realized you can make shaved fruit!! It’s SOO GOOD! We buy bags of frozen fruit and toss it in the top and this thing goes to work. It shaves the frozen pieces to perfection and so fast. It makes the tastiest and healthy desserts! Perfect in the summer but great for any time. It’s an awesome little machine and looks cool too!

Great for kids. Easy to use.This is pretty cool! Makes great ice. The only thing is it spray every where if you don't just hold cup or bowl directly under hole. It's loud but IDC. It's the perfect size for my small kitchen. We put about 10 ice cubes in and it made about half a solo cup! Very happy with purchase and of course so are kids.

Make sure the pin is locked.The green pin on top is the key. If it doesn’t lock, the machine will be useless. It works decently well.

Delicate but funWorks great but very delicate. I was trying to clean my neighbors snocone maker, this exact model. My daughter and her best friend (neighbors daughter) got chocolate syrup all over it….making concoctions in my kitchen as young girls will do. I barely dropped the bowl a few inches from my kitchen counter and it broke into pieces. I bought this one to replace my neighbors.

Works fineI bought this because I was tired of spending money on store bought Slushies and Icees! The machine works just fine, it makes shaved ice, it's easy to assemble and it's easy to clean. It actually works a little too well because it make the ice too fine and it melts quickly. To be honest, we didn't use it as much as I thought we would. I think it was the syrup, not the machine. So it's worth the purchase if you use it as much as you intend and you buy good tasting syrup with it.

Good product, but......My 12 year old wanted a snow cone machine. We got this one because I'm a fan of Dash products in general. The machine met my expectations in terms of ice shaving. The shavings are more like sleet than snow, but I knew that before getting it. The devise is easy and safe enough for my tween. I like that the ice is pushed around and there is no spinning blade.
My one complaint is about the ice guard. The ice guard is really just a splash guard, and feels like an after thought in design. It mostly keeps the ice shavings directed down toward your container, instead of spraying all over the place. It's kind of clumsy to take on and off, and I wish the container and guard were designed as a single unit. In the 2 months that we have owned this product, and the handful of times it's been use, the guard has been lost twice. The first time was during the unboxing. My kiddo unboxed it, and I thought it didn't come with the guard. I contacted DASH about it, and they said that this is not a component they can send out. I later found the guard, but now it has gone missing again. I believe a certain family member may have thrown it away, not knowing what it was. I hoping it will still turn-up, since I can't replace that piece. Until then, little ice shavings will just collect in more places than the bowl.

A lot better than expectedOkay so, first off, I will admit right up front that I hate the cutsey colors this thing comes in.
But, that being said, I am also grudgingly impressed.
I mean, it's an ice shaver. It shaves ice so…. what more can be said about that? Lol.
Still, this little thing is a lot better than I expected it to be.
First off, it's quieter than others I've had in years past. Is it whisper quiet? HECK NO!!!!
I mean, it grinds ice against a piece of metal OF COURSE IT'S NOT QUIET!!!! lol.
Still, the motor itself isn't nearly as loud as others I have had.
I also have found that I really like this form factor over others. Shove a cup or bowl under the outlet, drop some ice in, twist the cap and you can go and get the syrups while it does it's thing. With some others I found myself having to hover so I could turn the container in order to ensure that it wouldn't just pile up all on one side.
That isn't to say that it falls dead even of course– I just find that the shavings having to drop that tiny amount of distance as well as the fact that you can put the container of your choice down so that the blade is closer to the center just makes it come out a little more even then other form factors.
Finally, any parts that the ice touchs CAN ACTUALLY BE CLEANED!!!!!!!!!
I have NEVER understood why some shavers make cleaning some parts almost impossible but this one comes almost completely apart so you can just drop it into a sink of hot and soapy water– much more hygienic imho. After all, wet items can grow things we really don't want and can't even see.
I will say that while I like the fact that the bade can be broken down so that it can fit into more places for storage but, it does kind of mean that I have picked it up in order to move it without thinking and foundmyself with only half the base a couple of times.
That is NOT the fault of the unit though. After all, I can't be happy about it being able to break it down into pieces easily and then be mad at it for MY forgetting the fact that it easily breaks down into pieces. Lol.
Anyway, it's a good little unit (cutsey color not withstanding) and much better than I expected it to be when I first hit the buy button.

Wonderful Fast and Easy Clean UpSo very pleased. I wanted to buy myself a ridiculously expensive Bali machine from that well known Bahama brand. I didn't want to spend a lot though for a device that I literally only needed for nice pieces of well shaved ice.
This machine I came across at kohl's on sale for $60. I found it on Amazon for $39 so the math was simple. I bought it here for an amazing price and so glad I did.
It was set up in minutes. I threw in some ice cubes and within seconds I had beautiful pieces of shaved ice. Nice mini chunks enough for me to make amazing snow cones and yummy ice chunk beverages I sip up easily using a Boba straw!
My son loves it and we have been making drinks daily using soda or icee syrups also sold here on Amazon.
We simply leave a bowl under it and let it catch any remaining ice as it melts. Virtually no clean up necessary aside from a rinse.
So happy with this one !

I love this shaved ice machine!My family has been enjoying the shaved ice this machine creates along with Torani fruit flavored syrups to keep us cool this summer! It doesn't make very fine powder like the Kona Ice machines do, but it's definitely good enough for us. It's finer than crushed ice for sure, so it's definitely worth every penny! The machine is small enough that we're taking it with us to the beach next week. I'm sure it would also be good for making frozen mixed drinks also, but I haven't tried it. I've meant to use it for frozen fruits also to make a sort of smoothie shaved ice combo… I'll update if this turns out good. It is so easy to use and clean and even stores smaller by the base coming apart and storing together. And it's a giant plus that it matches the color in our kitchen. 🙂 I highly recommend this for the summer!
