Best Immersion Blender on the market! We have stand-alone blenders which I always use for soups (transferring from the pot), but my curiosity was piqued by what seemed to me a sudden popularity for hand-held immersion blenders. I know that many friends have enlightened me since that they have been popular for a long time now actually. I did some research, found that this All-Clad Immersion blender consistently received the highest ratings and ordered it. I am so exceptionally glad I did! I used it the day I received it and was blown away by how much better it is than the stand-alone blender I had been using for so, so many years. It is fast, easy to handle, powerful and easy to clean. I definitely am delighted to recommend it!

Very powerful and good qualityI bought this immersion blender to make Pai Tan ramen noodle soup, for which I need to blend the chicken with bones and all. This blender is very powerful and works very fast. It consistently makes very smooth blends. It is, however, very strong, and you will likely need somewhat strong hands to hold it steady.

Best immersion blender out there. Hands down.It took me sooooo incredibly long to find the perfect immersion blender, but this one is IT. I was looking for a BIFL (Buy It For Life) option and this has not disappointed. I will update in a few years and let you know how it's holding on, but as of now, it's great.
I- t feels incredibly sturdy, plastic parts are minimal (just the handle itself) and the whole immersion part is stainless steel. there's a little silicone ring on the inside of the immersion snout, but it's to prevent things from sticking and it's minimal. I'd be okay if it was all stainless steel, but it's WAY more than Teflon or a plastic attachment that I've seen. We are very concerned with forever chemicals and microplastics making it to out food, and there are concerns with both of those when you're dealing with hot liquids and high rotation knives – I can't imagine bits of those wouldn't make it into your food while blending.
– It's powerful! We barely use much of its power and it does an AMAZING job blending frozen things or soups. The most power we use is to blend meats from cooking broth to make pierogi filling and it still does a good job.
Overall, I was looking for a blender to prepare food safely for my baby and this did not disappoint. I'm so glad there are still good quality appliances! I would 100% recommend.

Well builtWell, this will be the 6th hand held blender, or immersion blender, I have owned, and so far the all clad has not disappointed, very strong, and the turbo button nice, all I can say is I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon, and have written I don’t know how many reviews and gotten over 48,000 looks but only 85 hearts, that’s not good, but what I can tell you is I am honest, and have a lot of experience in the kitchen, went to cooking school, was a chef for 30 years in Boston, I have used a lot of equipment, so if you need any advise on anything, just reach out, and I will answer you to the best of my knowledge, with that being said, the design and function of this blender is one of the best I have used, beats my old Cuisinart, in speed and power, I would buy again.

Blade Guard Larger Than ThoughtI purchased this due to favorable reviews from serious eats. I intended this to make homemade mayo and dressings. One thing is that the blade guard is huge so I really didn't have suitable containers and most jars are either too wide or too narrow. I will try those Weck Jars someone else here recommended soon.
But it's powerful, and has been fairly sturdy though I haven't used it as much as some other people here.
For pureeing soups in pots it's fine

Great hand blender.I use this for all kinds of blending, salsas, soups. It really helps and creates a smooth (as you like it) consisetncy. I recommend it for any home chef who wants to elevate their cooking.

May cause food poisoningI loved this immersion blender when I first bought it. It’s powerful. But it has a design flaw. I didn’t notice but it has been sucking up food into the shaft. I clean the head and thought it was clean but there is old foods stuck in it. You can not get it completely clean. I purée tomato sauces, soups and dressings all the time. I just noticed in my last batch of tomato sauce after I cleaned the head it was leaking unknown sauce on the drying rack. I shook it more and whole bunch more came out. There is no way to clean this out completely. It’s supposed to be immersed in liquid. I expected a better designed product for the price.

Better than I thoughtThis mixer is smooth and powerful. I use it for making lotions and soap. I needed a longer mixer since my batches are now too big for the cheaper and shorter blenders. Very happy about this purchase.

You've had cheap blenders - now get a good one.I use this for mixed glazes and underglazes. I had a cheap one for about 4 years, it was awful (the NOISE) but I didn't know there was anything better. I used this one at a glass in Peters Valley and bought one for myself as soon as I got home. It is so much more quiet than the $30 one and it is powerful – maybe it is faster?, and it's giong to be the last one I ever own. Everytime I use it I don't think of how much it cost but at how happy it makes me to use.

sticky grip material after a number of yearsBought one in 2019. Great tool, and 5 stars except…
the entire "soft-grip" handle started getting sticky about a year ago. It has been infrequently used, and stored carefully in a cabinet away from sun. Never used any cleaning agent on it. It is usable, just sticky and unpleasant to use. Hoping no chemicals are oozing into my skin. A better material for the handle seems called for. The rest of the unit seems of high quality, and I really like it.

Excellent blenderAll-Clad products are the best on the market. I love the longer wand to reach into deeper containers for blending. I would love to see the attachments available in other countries available in the US. The chopping container and whisk in particular.

We put this item to the test! It failed miserably. We have been buying home use immersion blenders for our business for the past ten years, and we decided to invest a little more this time to see if we could make it last longer than the KitchenAid (2 1/2 years) and the All-Clad broke after a month and a half. The wand bayonet somehow broke in the motor casing making the wand inseparable from the motor head.
I tried to call All-Clad customer service/warranty and because it was used in a commercial setting they were not able to replace it, but they said that there was no way to fix it, it would have to be replaced and this product would be trashed.

Not perfect but really, overall, quite good!I had an immersion blender for a few years and it was superb but I didn't realize at the time that most immersion blenders were not like that. And, so, unfortunately I did not take particular notice of the make and model. I tried about 3 or 4 well-known manufacturer immersion blenders after that one died (a plastic part broke that was part of how the stick stayed on the handle). Returned each of them for they were quite different from my original one; most were too heavy, some were so powerful that I had to have VERY deep container or whatever I was blending would spatter all over – including on me. Real problem with smoothies and w/small batch of Hollaindaise -which, surprisingly to me, is actually a VERY simple thing to me make as long as you don't have blender that will launch it into space on its lowest setting. So, finally, I found this make/model for a realistic price without a dozen attachments of which I would use only maybe two and it is not as heavy as the others, is easy to operate, medium to very powerful depending on setting you choose, sturdy and easy to clean. So, while it doesn't replicate my dead stick blender which would still be my preference, it does a quite satisfactory job on soups, smoothies of all sorts, Hollandaise and other sauces.

Broke after some use and is uselessseal that holds the blade rod together fell out and was unusable. The blade rod just comes out . I bought this expecting quality of all clad would be great . Is a waste of energy and resources this product. The handle motor works fine i liked it when I got it . Very disappointed. Specially broke when it was blending so was left with incomplete work.

Super Power, then super scrap. So, let me tell you about my ongoing saga with immersion blenders—it's become this quiet tragedy in my little restaurant kitchen, the kind where you keep hoping the next one will be "the one," but deep down you know you're just delaying the inevitable. It all started innocently enough. Back when I was green at this whole owning-a-restaurant thing, I figured those $20 Amazon specials would do the trick. Bought two. Both gave up the ghost after about a month, like they realized restaurant life wasn't for them and quietly retired. Then came the big Vevor beast early in the summer—it's still soldiering on, but lately it's making those ominous rattling sounds that say, "I'm trying, boss, but I'm tired."Not learning my lesson, I thought the KitchenAid cordless would change everything. No cords! Freedom! Turns out it had the power of a polite suggestion and a battery that stopped holding a charge after two weeks. It just… stopped. Like it had somewhere better to be.By this point, I was starting to question my life choices, but I pressed on. Enter the All-Clad. I unboxed it and immediately thought, this thing is serious. Powerful enough that I half-jokingly figured I could bolt it to my old john boat and it'd push me across the Atlantic without complaint. For the first couple months, it was perfect—turning mountains of garbanzo beans into the smoothest hummus you've ever tasted, handling four-gallon pots of tomato basil soup like it was blending air.I actually started to believe I'd finally found a reliable partner. And then, one day, it wasn't. The shaft attachment gave up—that little plastic insert in the motor housing came loose, and now when you click it on, the whole thing just spins uselessly. No resistance, no blending, just a sad whirring helicopter impersonation. I'm pretty sure one of the cooks got a bit overzealous snapping it in, or maybe the daily bumps and chaos finally won. Either way, it hurt. For the $130 I'd spent, I was tempted to break out the epoxy and MacGyver it back together. Might still try.I know the fine print says "home use," and I'm not blaming All-Clad—my place only seats 36, it's not some high-volume factory. But we're still asking more of it than blending the occasional smoothie. Just not quite ready to drop $600-plus on those full-on Waring commercial tanks, impressive as they are; they're built like bricks and take up way too much precious space.
